I started by wandering the drug stores for essential oils, but gave up when I wasn't seeing any results and was honestly confused. Then I found Young Living and realized there is a big difference. If you are putting oils on your or your family's bodies you want grade A oils. In this video you will learn about the different grades of oils and why you only want grade A oils. Rest assured Young Living has the best quality oils available.
With the popularity of essential oils and people leaning to more natural things, brands of essential oils are popping up everywhere from everyone. Many of these other oils only contain 5% of actual essential oils, but can still label them pure and therapeutic and most are only for fragrance. There are little restrictions on the labeling of oils. Most are cut with additives and fillers, or distilled many times (like using a tea bag over and over, the oil gets weaker).
We do not recommend ingesting or putting other oils on topically. We also don't recommend putting other oils into a Young Living diffuser. I say this because I have made recommendations before only to find someone had used a non YL oil on a burn and it caused pain and damage to the skin, another used a hair recipe and her daughter's hair dried out, and another used an oil in the diffuser and the additives stopped up the diffuser.
You can learn more about Young Living's in depth process to create the highest quality oils here. They have been around more than 23 years, do not use pesticides, they own most of their farms and control the process on the farms they co-op. They hand weed, only grow in the best locations all over the world, harvest at the exact right time, distill only one time, and test thoroughly. They have been known to not use an entire crop because it did not test high enough. This is a huge cost to the company and causes product to go out of stock, but only proves the integrity of Young Living.
